The event will be held at the conference hall of the Athens TEI

The 10th International Conference on Gastronomical Tourism is scheduled to take place on November 26-27 at the Athens Technical School (TEI) convention hall. The 2-day event will be held under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of Tourism, Rural Development and Food, the Greek Tourism Organisation (GTO) and UNESCO group of Piraeus and Islands. The main goal of the conference is to bring together professionals from the domestic tourism industry with representatives of the private sector to explore the prospects of collaborative initiatives in an effort to promote gastronomical tourism, a tourism niche included in the GTO’s larger strategy for marketing alternative tourism. The event will be attended by members of international academia and the business community. The two key speakers will be Roberta Garibaldi, the Scientific Director of East Lombardy, and head of  European Region of Gastronomy 2017, Italian Association of Tourism Sciences and the president of European Council of Enogastronomic Brotherhoods (CEUCO), Carlos Martin Cosme.
