Three Turkish soldiers were killed and 14 injured during military operations in the city of Nusaubin, in the southeastern province of Mardin, in Turkey, Sunday, according to a statement realised by the turkish military authorities. The area, which is populated by a majority of ethnic Kurds, has been the centre of fierce battles between the Kurdish PKK fighters and Turkish forces after a truce signed in 2015 collapsed. Turkey considers the PKK a terrorist organisation and has been waging military offensives against Kurdish population in its eastern provinces, often killing innocent civilians.
