The SYRIZA government has repoortedly initiated procedures to reinstate the state’s share of the Athens International Airport to pre-2011 levels, that would be 55 percent. Percentage or not, the management is held by private interests.
In addition, a previous government decision to extend the existing concession by another 20 years, until 2046, also appeared be headed for revocation.
