4 Turkish soldiers killed, 2 injured in car bomb explosion

Attack took place in kurdish populated city of Diyarbakir

At least four Turkish soldiers were killed and two were injured when a bomb exploded in a military vehicle in the city of Diyarbakir, in southeastern Turkey, Friday. Turkish military forces have been engaged in heavy fighting lately with Kurdish PKK fighters in the country’s region, which is mostly populated by ethnic Kurds. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan characterises the Kurds of PKK as terrorists and has accused them of being behind a series of deadly attacks in major cities in Turkey.
