5-hour public transport strikes from 10am to 3pm Monday

Workers demand cover of organic posts and the safeguarding of the public character of the transport system

Transport to the Athens International airport will be disrupted due to a 5-hour strike Monday from the Suburban Railway and the Athens Metro from 10am to 3pm. The Athens to Thessaloniki railway lines will also stop due to industrial actions, as will the suburban line. More specifically the following lines will stop:

Athens to Thessaloniki morning lines (07:18am and 10:18am)

Thessaloniki to Athens morning lines (05:13am, 07:04am and 10:04am)

Between 10am and 3pm the following lines will not be running:

1. Athens-Kalambaka-Athens

2. Alexandroupoli-Dikeon-Alexandroupoli

3. Thessaloniki-Florina-Thessaloniki

4. Larissa-Volos-Larissa

5. Lianokladi-Lamia-Lianokladi

6. Diakoptou-Kalavryta-Diakoptou

7. Pyrgos-Katakolo-Pyrgos

The routes of the suburban railway in Athens, Patras, and Larissa to Thessaloniki will not be running during the 5-hour strike. Finally, the Athens Metro from stops Dukisis Plakentias to the Athens Airport will not be running between 1pm and 3 pm.
