50% reduction on political parties funding

“Bizarre” provision prohibits disclosure during elections period any complaints against candidates through the press – End to indiscriminate borrowing with guaranty future grants-Voters of different regions will not allowed free transportation any longer – Prohibition of coupons given anonymous voters

The bill “Financial Control of Political Parties and Elected Representatives of the Parliament and the European Parliament ‘ which was submitted by the Ministries of Finance, Interior and Justice in parliament states that: The disclosure during the period of elections for any complaints against candidates through the press – End to indiscriminate borrowing with guaranty future grants-Voters of different regions will not allowed free transportation any longer – Prohibition of coupons given anonymous voters.

The main innovation of the bill is not so much for the smallest proportion, whereby they calculated the state money to be attributable to the parties, but the calculation of the amount will be made on the basis of net revenue (report) and not revenue which the current government will have budgeting.

That way, a rationalization will be achieved in practice, as for the first time funding will be directly linked to the country’s fiscal situation.

The bill is within the package of 12 prerequisite that the lenders ask to be voted during the summer period, in order to be disbursed two doses totaling to two billion.

However, as indicated by parliamentary agents, under the Constitution the bill can not be voted during the Summer part.
