9.8 million Greeks to cast their ballots on January 25 and men outnumber women

The electoral list of the Ministry of the Interior shows a total of 9,808,760 registered voters called to vote in the upcoming elections on January 25. Women voters (5,060,877) outnumbering men (4,747,883).

Most voters are gathered by the Athens 2nd electoral constituency (1,428,759) while the least are at Lefkada constituency in the Ionian islands is the smaller one in the country with only 29,152 voters.

224,272 young voters will cast their ballot for the first time and another 49,699 people who acquired Greek citizenship since 2012 will also exercise their voting rights for the first time.

The largest category of voters are those over 71 years of age make up the largest category of the electoral body (more than 2 million) followed by voters aged 42-47 (1 million).
