The Greek government has launched a new funding program for young people who wish to live in the countryside and engage in agriculture and farming.

The program is financed by the European Union reaching 400 million euros over the next six years. According to a report published to Ethnos newspaper, more than 18,000 young people are projected to receive financial aid of about 50,000 euros to start up a new agriculture and farming business in the countryside.
