A US theme park is challenging people to spend 30 hours inside a coffin

So, what do they actually win if they manage to last all 30 hours inside the coffin?

Six Flags theme park in St Louis, Missouri has opened a unique new attraction.

It’s not a big scary roller coaster or a huge log flume no, it’s a coffin. Yes, you’ve read that right. A coffin.

The park is offering six lucky visitors the chance to put their endurance to the test by staying inside a casket for 30 consecutive hours on October 13.

People will have to be in the coffin from 1 pm on the Saturday until 7 pm the next day.

The contest is part of the parks Fright Fest event but we already know what you are thinking, surely this is torture.

Well, it doesn’t seem as bad as it sounds as the park will at least provide the participants with:

  • – 2′ x 7′ ‘slightly used’ coffins
  • – Meals, snacks, drinks
  • – One six-minute bathroom break every hour
  • – Phone charging stations
  • – Random visits by ‘Fright Fest Freaks’

In addition, they can bring your own pillows, sleeping bags and blankets in order to stay comfortable.

In all honesty, barring the lack of space, it doesn’t sound too bad at all. Just download a couple of films from Netflix and you’ll be fine.

So, what do they actually win if they manage to last all 30 hours inside the coffin?

Survivors will be placed into a prize draw with one lucky person winning $300 (is that it???), two 2019 Gold Season passes, a Fright Fest prize package, two VIP Haunted House passes, and a ticket for two to ride the “freak Train” for Freak Unleashed.

While that doesn’t seem like much I suppose it’s something that would at least attract some local or viral interest so and if you get to have fun at a theme park for free afterwards then why not?

If you think you are up to the challenge and over at least 18-years-old then you can register to take part here.
