Administrative Reconstruction Secretary General resigns

He hinted via a post on Facebook that the trade unions were obstructing his work.

Administrative Reconstruction Secretary General Manolis Angelakas submitted his resignation on Thursday to newly-appointed Minister of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction Nikos Voutsis.

There was no official announcement regarding the reasons that led to his resignation. However, the former Secretary General hinted via a post on Facebook that the trade unions were obstructing his work.

“I fought for meritocracy and for the assessment of structures and individuals despite the opposing voices of trade union members, many of whom believe that things should remains as they are. I will return to my activities and my job, which I never abandoned. My intention has always been to help my country and my fellow-countrymen.”
