Bloody scuffle between robbers and police occurred shortly after 8 pm on Thursday, at the intersection of Kifisou 102 and and St. Paul.

According to preliminary information two gunmen burst into the meat market in Peristeri, at the height of Ag.I.Renti to rob the store.

However, the group was spotted by the police team DIAS and after scuffle with the police, one of the two robbers was arrested, while the second was killed after a shootout.

17 shells were found in the area while according to first information the perpetrators were Greeks with a criminal record. In the past the store had again become target for thieves.
