“Amy”, a much-awaited documentary about Amy Winehouse’s life is about to be screened in the Cannes Film Festival.

Based on the trailer which circulated last month, the documentary attempts to shed light into Amy Winehouse’s secret side.

According to The Guardian newspaper, Amy’s family released a formal statement, contradicting the documentary, considering it dishonest.

Through their representative, they stated that the movie does not represent Amy’s life in any way.
