Self-styled anti-state youth occupy Athens Law School

They wear balaclavas and they are armed with bats

About 20 masked individuals armed with bats and other weapons invaded the Athens Law School in central Athens on Friday morning.

The invaders, reportedly members of a so-called anti-state movement, told the students to get out before taking over the building.

According to reports, the masked youth shouted slogans demanding for the release of Savvas Xiros, a convicted N17 terrorist and the release of several incarcerated relatives of suspects belonging to another extreme left urban terrorist gang, the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire.

According to reports, around 80 supporters arrived on the scene to support their “comrades” occupying the building.

Savvas Xiros has severe health problems due to a bomb that prematurely exploded while he was placing it at the port of Piraeus in June 2002, a botched terror attack that marked the beginning of the end for the once elusive terrorist group.
