Who is the man who allegedly attempted to bribe ANEL MP Chaikalis?

Mr. Kammenos underlined that Mr. Chaikalis rejected the bribery offer from the very start

In a press conference that started at around 13:30 on Friday and concluded half an hour later, Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos provided information to the reporters regarding the allegations made by ANEL MP Pavlos Chaikalis earlier on the same day, i.e. that he was offered two-to-three million euros to vote for Greek president.

Mr. Kammenos underlined that Mr. Chaikalis rejected the bribery offer from the very start, despite his dire economic situation and that he is willing to reveal every single detail about this case.

Moreover, ANEL leader said that he has audiovisual proof of the recorded meetings between Mr. Chaikalis and the person who tried to bribed him and that the evidence, along with the name of that person have been submitted to the hands of justice.

In fact, Mr. Kammenos identified the man who attempted to bribe Mr. Chaikalis. His name is Yorgos Apostolopoulos and he has worked in the past as advisor of Mr. Kammenos himself as well as the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.

ANEL leader said that when he left New Democracy, Mr. Apostolopoulos told him that he would follow him. At the same time, he was writing articles online under the pseudonym Deucalion.
