Chaikalis and Kammenos testimonies concluded

ANEL leader Panos Kammenos will testify on Monday

ANEL deputy Pavlos Chaikalis arrived at the Prosecutor’s office in the morning of Sunday to give a supplemental testimony in relation to the allegations he made two days ago, that he was offered a significant amount of money to vote for President of the Republic.

Mr. Chaikalis was called by Prosecutor Panos Panagiotopoulos to testify again in order to clarify some issues that were raised by yesterday’s testimony of Yorgos Apostolopoulos, the alleged intermediary in the attempted bribery case.

Upon arriving at the prosecutor’s office on his motorcycle, Mr. Chaikalis said to the journalists waiting outside the building that he was happy to see smiling faces.

The ANEL MP was accompanied today by ANEL leader’s wife and lawyer Elena Tzouli, who told the reporters when the testimony was concluded that the Appeals prosecutor knew the name of Yorgos Apostolopoulos since December 6 and did nothing.

Mrs. Tzouli asked the prosecution to lift the secrecy of communications so that Mr. Apostolopoulos’s phone conversations on the evening of December 12 could reveal who was behind the bribery attempt.

It should be noted that ANEL leader Panos Kammenos also arrived to the prosecutor’s office to testify today.
