Archbishop Ieronymos: Can Skopje change its Constitution?

Holy Synod of Church to meet today on matter of Macedonia name

“We will not back down about the concession go the name of Macedonia and its derivatives, but these things are easy”, the Archbishop of Athens and Greece, Ieronymos pointed out a few hours before the meeting of the Permanent Holy Synod on the issue.
Speaking in front of TV cameras, the Archbishop raised the question of whether the Constitution of Skopje could be changed. “So if we want to discuss this issue, we must be ready to deal with difficult situations”, he said, as ANT1 and Star channel reported in their main news bulletins. The Permanent Holy Synod of the Church is scheduled to meet on Friday and discuss the matter, which will also deal with the issue of rallies and the participation of priests.
