Back in the day – Christmas at Studio 54 (raunchy pics)

A step back in time

New York in the Seventies was a time of disco fever when Studio 54 and Barbarella ruled the roost. There were parties, glamor, a dizzy swirl of hedonism and drugs. Studio 54 at 254 West 54th, Manhattan drew crowds outside and few were the chosen ones.

The goal, according to Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell, was people to just have fun rather than find a soul mate. Guests included Donna Summer, Sylvester, Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band, Amii Stewart, Anita Ward, France Joli, and The Ritchie Family, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Grace Jones, Mick Jagger, Bianca Jagger, Dalí, Andy Warhol, Drew Barrymore, Brooke Shields, Calvin Klein, Cher, Liza Minelli, Rod Stewart and Woody Allen.

But pictures speak louder than words…
