Bank holiday officially over on Monday

Ministerial order issued

A ministerial order issued Saturday outlines all the details regarding the re-opening of Greek banks on Monday, July 20. Depositors will be allowed to withdraw a total of 420 euros a week. The daily limit remains at 60 euros per day per card, but now people will have the option of making larger sum withdrawals up to 420 euros a week. The banks will reopen after a 3-week holiday imposed by the Greek government, following the increase in the ELA by 900 million Euros as a result of the voting of the measures by the Greek parliament Wednesday. Citizens will not be permitted to use credit and pre-paid cards to withdraw cash from Greece or abroad. Meanwhile, the deadline for paying the first installment of tax has been extended to August 31 2015. There is no detail in the order regarding bank deposit boxes.
