Beijing has beat out Almaty (44-40) votes to become the first city to host the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, as it hosted the 2008 Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the close results for the 2022 Winter Games. The problem of Beijing not having any snow (a critical detail in the Games…) was solved after the Beijing bidding committee convinced the IOC with a plan that provides for the transport of massive amounts of fake snow to the areas where the events are planned to take place.
