A 18.4% Increase in arrivals has been noted from the figures given by the state airport in Athens, Greece
More specifically, the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos ” has welcomed a total of 1,351,873 tourists during May, a significantly higher number compare to last year, where the number did not exceed the 1,141,604.
The 876,268 passengers come from abroad, while the remaining 474,605 from domestic flights .
In more detail, the foreign arrivals, have increased by 17% compared with May 2013, and respectively increased seem to be the flights within Greek territory, that reach 21.1%.

In the overall increase in tourism has contributed greatly the increase of flights of several airlines, in order to cover the high demand during the summer period.
