Blue Air to launch Athens-Larnaca route on January 19

The company aspires to fill the void created when Cyprus Airlines stopped its services on January 9.

Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air has announced that it will launch an Athens-Larnaca route on January 19. The airline will operate the new service seven times per week, with the intention of expanding the schedule to ten flights for the summer season.

Blue Air officials stated on Tuesday that the new Athens-Larnaca service, along with Thessaloniki-Larnaca route, complete the airline’s European flight schedule, which includes a network of 35 connections and 4 hub cities: Bucharest, Bacau in Romania, Torino and Larnaca.

It should be noted that the company aspires to fill the void created when Cyprus Airlines stopped its services on January 9. According to the officials, the Athens-Larnaca flights served over 600,000 passengers annually.
