Man shot dead after trying to steal weapon from soldier at Paris’ Orly airport

The airport has been evacuated after shooting

A man has been shot dead at Paris Orly Airport after grabbing a counter-terrorism soldier’s gun.

 

The incident took place at the South Terminal and SWAT teams have been sent in. The airport has been evacuated.

 

The Police are warning the public to stay away.

 

The soldier was deployed as part of Operation Sentinelle.

 

There have been no reports of injuries.

 

The Police investigates the possibility of an accomplice but it seems he acted alone.

The motives of his attack are not known yet.
