Breams baked with vegetables and herbs

Although the bream is a difficult fish to clean, you will be rewarded by its delicious taste.

Although the bream is a difficult fish to clean, you will be rewarded by its delicious taste.

Ingredients

4 breams (about 250 – 300g. each)
2 carrots peeled and thinly sliced
2 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 broccoli, only the florets, washed or 4 zucchinis sliced
2 bunches of celery with its leaves, finely chopped
4-5 sprigs of parsley, with its leaves
2 cloves of garlic, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon dried thyme
4 tablespoons olive oil
The juice of 1 lemon
1 glass of white wine
Salt and pepper
Preparation method

Step 1

Wash and cut the vegetables. Clean and wash the breams. Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Grease a baking sheet or an ovenproof dish and place inside the breams. Add the carrots, the potatoes, the broccoli, the garlic cloves, the celery, the parsley and the bay leaves between the fish.

Step 3

In a bowl, beat the oil with the thyme, the lemon, the salt, the pepper and the wine. Pour the mixture over the breams and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Step 4

Serve the fish hot, garnished with the baked vegetables.
