Cabinet meeting on fiscal issues, looming Eurogroup concludes

After four hours

Cabinet meeting at the Maximos Mansion government headquarters on fiscal policies concludes after four long hours.

The issues tabled were solutions on meeting obligations in March, as well as Monday’s Eurogroup where the Greek Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis will present the reforms.

One concern, according to reports, is a looming liquidity crisis, Monday’s Eurogroup and planned reforms to be presented by Athens at the latter — a prerequisite that the Greek government signed-off on in order to achieve approval of a loan agreement extension.

A video-conference of the Euroworking Group ended without any real result on Wednesday.

According to reports, the Greek issue was third in line to be discussed, while the actual deliberation was spent on “bargaining” over the six measures to be presented to the Eurogroup on Monday by FinMin Yanis Varoufakis.
