Stars are wet and wild about the ALS ice-bucket challenge (see viral videos)

Oprah Winfrey, Mike Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, Martha Stewart and an endless list of celebrities are pouring ice over themselves to help find a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease

Social media is abuzz with ice bucket challenges that seem utterly pointless but are for a good cause as they raise money for the ALS Association. So far, over $4 million in donations has been granted to the group from July 29 through to August 12 and counting upwards. The contributions are being raised to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease, known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The latest in the bucket challenge line-up is Oprah Winfrey who caved in and poured a bucket of ice over herself after being nominated by Jesse tyler Ferguson, Tyler Perry and Nancy O’Dell and she reacted as one would expect.

She nominated Helen Mirren and Steven Spielberg, and the latter accepted.

Mark Zuckerberg had nominated Bill Gates to do the challenge and he responded in his own humorous way –

Investor Jeff Bezos accepted Satya Nadella’s challenge –

Mickey Rourke accepted the challenge on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” –

Greece’s Fame Story and Eurovision winner Kalomira also participated in the viral craze causing her toddlers to break down in tears –
