European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and his whole team survived a no confidence vote in the European Parliament on Thursday, following the motion of censure that was tabled by far-right and anti-European parties such as France’s Front National.
The motion of censure was put forward by 76 MEPs because of the allegations that emerged from the so-called Lux-leaks.
Mr. Juncker easily survived the no confidence vote with 461 votes to 101.
It should be noted that in the last 35 years, there have been a total of seven motions of censure against the European Commission but they were all defeated.
