As part of his tour at the units and outposts in the Area of Responsibility of the 95th Higher National Guard Battalions Command, Defence Minister Nikos Dendias visited the islets of Kastelorizo, Strongyli and Ro, which are located in the southeastern Aegean.

Upon arriving at Strongyli on Thursday, Mr. Denias was welcomed by a lieutenant of the Greek Raider Forces, in charge of the outpost on the islet. Defence Minister was photographed with her and the representatives of the military leadership under a huge Greek flag waving on the island of the Dodecanese which is the easternmost Greek territory.

Mr. Dendias said that the ministry and the Greek state will support those who struggle to keep the country’s morale high.

He also sent a message to our neighbors, stating that “Greece has the honor of enjoying peaceful and friendly relations with all the peoples in the world. But it is also determined to defend both its national sovereignty and its national dignity.”

Dendias was accompanied by Deputy Defence Minister Giannis Lambropoulos, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Michail Kostarakos and the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Christos Manolas.
