Eagles of Death Metal to play at Bataclan… again! (vid)

Eagles of Death Metal want to finish their unfinished performance at Bataclan

Eagles of Death Metal, the band whose concert remained unfinished, after it was interrupted by ISIS terrorist attacks at the Bataclan theater on November 13 that left 89 dead say that they have pledged to finish the concert.

The attack, one of six around Paris on that night, left the bankd’s merchandise manager Nick Alexander, aged 36, dead. The band survived by escaping through the backstage exit.

Julian Dorio, the drummer posted a message on Instagram pledging to finish the concert:

Absolute and unnecessary evil turned our world on its head. I am beyond grateful that I was able to find a way out of the venue, but I am mourning those who did not, including our mate, Nick Alexander. My thoughts are with their families

I’m counting down the days until I get to finish that concert. Peace & love. #prayforparis #bataclan #eodm

Dorio also thanked fans who assisted the band’s escape. Lead singer Jesse Hughes told Vice that he wants the band to be the first to play at the gig when it reopens.

I cannot wait to come back to Paris. I cannot wait to play. I want to come back. I want to be the first band to play in the Bataclan when it opens back up.
