Eddie Redmayne dresses up and heads for yet another Academy Award as “Lili”

The touching story of the pioneer for LGBT rights

Eddie Redmayne is hard to see past all the makeup and lipstick as a pretty transvestite and LGBT rights pioneer Einar Wegener.

This new movie follows the success of “The Theory of Everything” which gave Redmayne his first Academy Award. The 33 year-old actor was transformed into a red-haired beaut’ with short hair, red lipstick and black mascara. From Einar Wegener, to Lili.

The movie takes place in the 20’s and describes the romantic story between a married couple and their experimentation with their sexuality. The wife, Gerda Waud, convinced Wegener to dress up as a woman and turn his name to Lili.

The actor visited the same kinesiology expert as the one he used for replicating Stephen Hawking. His research into the role also allowed him to meet with transexual community members who had sex changes many years ago, foregoing the risks to their health.

The movie will be titled “The Danish Girl” and will also include Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and Ben Whishaw.
