ESEE head: Amendment for arrears repayment will give market a ‘breather’

According to the ESEE head, the new bill can also benefit the social insurance funds

The provisions of the long anticipated draft law by the new government to allow for a 100-installment plan in order to pay off debts to the state will give the market a ‘breather’, said the head of Greek commerce confederation (ESEE) Vassilis Korkidis on Thursday.

According to the ESEE head, the new bill can also benefit the social insurance funds and essentially “reform” the current suffocating regime for overdue debts.

Moreover, Korkidis noted that the amendment must become even more flexible to include more taxes, contributions and incentives.
