EU officials reportedly reject latest Greek offer as “too little, too late”

Council of Europe: Conditions of Greek referendum fall short of international standards

Brussels officials have reportedly stated that the latest Greek offer is “too little, too late”, and reacted negatively to a letter sent by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday asking for a last-minute compromise.

Reuters said the letters listed measures that Greece’s EU partners would be unlikely to accept. “The second Greek program has finished,” German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble tersely said.
