Euro-Med leaders to express support to Greece against Turkish threats at Summit in Spain

The heads of states of the nine countries of southern Europe, who will meet the day after tomorrow Friday, in Alicante, Spain, at the 2022 EuroMed Summit will express their full support to Greece against the threats from Turkey, diplomatic sources of the French presidency said today from Paris.

As the sources reported, the issue of Turkish threats against Greece will be discussed at the scheduled working dinner after the work of the 2022 Euro-Mediterranean summit, by the heads of state and government of Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece. European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will also be present.

The last Euro-Mediterranean summit, with the participation of all Mediterranean countries, European and non-European, took place in 2015 in Spain, while the last summit of the EU member states of southern Europe was hosted last year in Athens.
