The European Commission representative Annika Braitchart stressed today that “the decision of the Greek authorities for the presidential election process “can help remove uncertainties in the markets and sends a strong signal to Europe”.

Furthermore, she explained the 3 round process of elections and highlighted the name of Stavros Dimas who was nominated from the Prime Minister for the position and describe him to be a good and strong choice.

However, according to the representative the European Commission does not take position on issues of Greek political life.
