Learn more about the history of the scenic region

A trip to scenic Monemvasia is offered by lawyer, author and researcher Nikos Vasilatos. His lecture, titled “Monemvasia: Gibraltar of Greece (History – Monuments)” at the Benaki Museum (cnr of Vas Sofias and Koubari sts, Athens) focus on the history and monuments of the fortified city.
The island of Monemvasia is linked to the mainland by a short causeway. Vasilatos will focus on the crumbling walls and Byzantine churches that remain from the medieval period.

Takes place at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15. Admission free. Everyone is welcome.
