Two commercial ships are currently on their way to assist the ferry crew.
The Melina II ferryboat is adrift in a sea region near Mykonos amid rough seas under due to engine failure.
According to the coast Guard, the vessel is not carrying any passengers and was anchored in the spot.
However, due to winds of 8-9 on the Beaufort scale, its lines snapped and one of its propellers was hit. As a result, one of the engines was damaged.
