First property tax (ENFIA) instalment due in August, says Dep. Finance Minister

100 tax instalment scheme to be scrapped, he says

Greek Deputy Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis said that taxpayers would have to pay the first property tax instalment (ENFIA) in August. In an interview to TV station ‘E’, Alexiadis stressed that citizens would have to pay the total amount of the property tax in five instalments until the end of the year. Alexiadis said that although the bulk of tax statements had been cleared by the tax services an extension had been given until July 18 and 25. On the issue of the 100 tax instalment scheme, the Deputy Minister said that whoever failed to pay his arrears from July 1 onwards would be excluded from the plan.
