Another incident with a police officer who was killed by gunfire, took place on Sunday in Florida, a few hours after the murder of two NYPD police officers.

According to local media, the perpetrator, who has been arrested, was knocking on doors in a neighborhood in Tarpon Springs.

When police arrived on the spot, the man opened fire and killed one of the police officers. As announced by the local PD, the deceased is a 45 year old police officers of 17 years of experience, who for five years, had served in the NYPD.

As for the offender, after he shot the father of five, he tried to flee in a vehicle, but crashed in a pole, resulting in his arrest.

So far there seems to be no connection between this incident and the double murder in New York.
