Free internet and laptops for 290,000 beneficiaries

The goal is to have digital convergence

Over 290,000 citizens entitled to social benefits will be able to use their “Digital Solidarity” coupons for free internet or laptop-tablets from Wednesday, February 4. The Digital Convergence program is being made available to citizens of eight regions (eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Thessaly, Epirus, western Greece, Ionian islands, the Peloponnese, northern Aegean, Crete). All they need to do is copy their coupon from the page, www.e-inclusion.gr. The program gives beneficiaries 12 euros per month for broadband communication (mobile or landline), electronic tablet or laptop of up to 230 euros, support services and access to e-mail, internet, e-gov services etc.

Businesses wishing to supply in the program need to tender their bids from January 14 through to January 28.
