FYROM closes its borders – Refugees and migrants line up for food and water (pics)

Thousands of people are lined up to get water and food, while others are stuck in the buffer zone, since FYROM has imposed new stricter border checks

The refugee and migrant camp in Idomeni, northern Greece, has been crowded over the past few days, while incidents recorded on Monday at 3pm, when more than 600 migrants attempted to cross the borders to continue their journey to Europe.

Tension emerged with FYROM shutting its border down without letting anyone enter the country, while an hour later Greek police tried to de-escalate the situation.

Hundreds of migrants, most of them from Afghanistan, have occupied the railway in Idomeni and according to sources, they have put in front of them small children who are frightened and crying.
