German nuclear research center was among Abdeslam’s targets

Authorities found articles and photos of the German nuclear research center as well as its director in his apartment

Salah Abdeslam, one of the terrorists arrested for the bloody attacks in Paris, had targeted German nuclear research center, German media reports claim.

Authorities found articles and photos of German nuclear research center Juelich, which has atomic waste stored there, as well as its director Wolfgang Marquardt, in Abdeslam’s apartment.

The centre said in a statement that there was no indication of any danger and that it was in contact with security authorities and nuclear supervisor.

A local news network, the Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) group said sources had told it that Germany’s domestic intelligence agency (BfV) had told a parliamentary committee Abdeslam had the documents.
