German pensioners buy cheap vacation homes in Greece, Handelsblatt newsapaper reports

A German pensioner managed to make his dream come true and bought a house of 85 square metres for only 98,000 euros, according to the newspaper

The financial newspaper Handelsblatt published an article on real estate opportunities in Greece

The article entitled “Real estate opportunities with sea view” refers to the great real estate opportunities that Greece offers because of the economic crisis citing also an example of a German pensioner who bought a small vacation home at Cape Sounio, Greece.

According to the newspaper, the German pensioner managed to make his dream come true and bought a house of 85 square metres for only 98,000 euros.

“Greece is again the center of attention. From January to August, about 15.3 million tourists visited the country, increased by 22.1% compared to last year. More and more foreigners seem to love Greece so much that they decide to look for a vacation home and buy one”, according to the report.

As Handelsblatt points out, whoever is interesting in investments today, he can buy a vacation home at a relatively low price. In the coming years, according to real estate industry representatives, prices are expected to rise significantly.
