Tsipras tears down last bridges with Europe

German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister, Sigmar Gabriel made it clear speaking to German Tagesspiegel daily that it would be hard to imagine talks on an new bailout plan after the Greeks had rejected the bailout terms in a referendum. “Tsipras and his government are leading the Greek people on a path of bitter abandonment and hopelessness”, he said, adding that by rejecting the rules of the Eurozone, negotiations on a program amounting to billions are barely conceivable. “Tsipras had torn down the last bridges on which Greece and Europe could have moved towards a compromise”
