Satirical German program Die Anstalt’s on ZDF stuck up for Greece again with humor. Mocking the Eurogroup conference in Riga, Latvia, on April 24 where the Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis was shamed by being called a time waster, amateur and gambler by his EU counterparts, the program aired its own version of events.

Presenter Max Uthoff, holding a whip, said “Sit Varoufakis! Sit!” and gave orders to the “naughty doggy” that the Greek FinMin was represented to be. “What’s in your mouth? Get it out!” said Uthoff. “Spit out democracy. Out of your mouth… now!”

The same show depicted Nazi atrocities in Distomo by presenting the moving tale of 75-year-old Argyris Sfontouris whose entire village and family were slaughtered.
