The same source also tried to downplay seriousness of the protest actions of Greek farmers clarifying that the government will not step back and is not afraid of the consequences of these reactions.

The same source even criticized the farmers saying that “What farmers do is very selfish, we are asking them to meet us and discuss together and they refuse to do it”.

“This new draft law concerns the whole society and not only them” he added pointing out that “farmers benefit from it”, while he stressed that “we have nothing to give”.
