Who says the gyro market is cooling down in the States, if anything the craze seems to be developing into a permanent fixture on US diners’ plates.
Illinois-based Grecian Delight Foods has emerged as one of the fastest growing Greek ethnic food producers in the United States, now holding some 40% of the share of the gyros market in the major market.
The company, founded in 1974 and run by the Parthenis family, is also rapidly expanding in the wider Mediterranean and ethnic foods sector, with more than 400 distributors and 50 brokers in North America.
