Greece sees an increase in UK tourists

Greece welcomed 208,336 more passengers from United Kingdom compared to last year

Tourist arrivals from UK have significantly increased during the first half of the year.

According to data provided by UK Civil Aviation Authority, Greece achieved the third highest increase in arrivals.

Greece is becoming a popular destination for British tourists during the recent years which is confirmed by the data published.

The increase in the number of passengers visiting Greece reached 12%, ranking it third in the list of destinations that showed the greatest increase in arrivals from UK.

More specifically, 208,336 more passengers from United Kingdom visited Greece this year.

Canary Islands comes first with 13.2% increase and Portugal second with 13.2%, whereas Turkey achieved 8.9% increase, Italy 7.1% and Poland -2.4% for the first half of 2014.
