Greek Communist party leader: We are heading to early elections

Mr. Koutsoumbas said that the escalation of the dispute between SYRIZA and the government hides from the people and the youth their real enemy.

Addressing the 11th Congress of the Communist Youth (KNE) on Saturday, Greek Communist Party (KKE) secretary general Dimitris Koutsoumbas commented on the latest developments in relation to the election of President of Republic and noted that the country is heading to early national elections.

Mr. Koutsoumbas said that the escalation of the dispute between main opposition SYRIZA and the government, despite their different approaches in dealing with the crisis that always favor the capital, hides from the people and the youth their real enemy.

Furthermore, he said that although the above mentioned dispute on issues of bribery and corruption has elements of truth, “the scandal mongering prevents people from seeing the crux of the political issue, leaving them trapped in superficial changes within the bourgeois system and not affecting at all the corrupted, decaying system of the monopolies authority.”
