The economic crisis appears to be pushing women in Greece to the “world’s oldest profession” reports Greek tabloid Espresso. The daily newspaper’s reportage was based on an investigation with the Greek Police that found that at least 2,500 women in Greece are performing live sex acts in front of their computers for 60 euros per session. They look like your average housewives, but while the cake is in the oven they also earn a bit on the side with live stripping viewed by hundreds of thousands of men around the globe.
The women taking part in the strip shows are aged from 35 to 45 years of age. The police have already found four of these who went so far as to move from the live shows to actually meeting their clients who traveled from European cities to Athens and were willing to pay 1,000 euros for a sex session of which 400 euros were taken by a German pimp. One of the women who was arrested was a 45-year-old housewife from Athens southern suburbs, married with children, who met men from Germany, Denmark and Norway.
