Greek police closing in on Menis Koumandareas killers

The motive of the heinous crime was most probably robbery

New clues have emerged in relation to the murder of famous Greek author Menis Koumandareas, who was found dead in his apartment in Kypseli on December 6, leading the police to the arrest of two individuals, a Romanian national and a Pontic Greek from Russia.

Based on the evidence found so far, the motive of the heinous crime was most probably robbery, as the author was reportedly keeping a large sum of money in his apartment, following the sale of property.

This amount was not found during the search of the house and police believes that the money was taken by the two alleged murderers. The authorities continue to search for evidence that would tie the case up and lead to the stolen money.
