Greek talks with lenders on National Power Grid

The talks continued after Energy Minister Panos Skourletis departed for another meeting with Egyptian President

Greek authorities and creditors (EC, ECB, IMF and ESM) are hammering out a deal regarding the fate of the national power grid operator ADMIE continued on the level of technical teams on Tuesday.
The two sides are hammering out an agreement following the Greek side’s proposal for a separation of ADMIE from the Public Power Corporation (PPC) and the transfer of grid connection fees to a company that is 51% owned by the state and 49% owned by private interests. The government has presented this proposal as an alternative but equivalent measure to the privatisation of ADMIE for the deregulation of the electricity market.
A further meeting with the institutions on Wednesday has not been ruled out.
